Been rereading Fuan no Tana and was in the mood to draw a weird yokai monster/spirit.

Walmart Gimp

 

Was wondering what to draw one day and came across the walmart gimp image I saved from ages ago. So decided to do a redraw of it with some creative liberties.

Doc & Hand Monster

 

This draw started out as a way to practice the "uniboob" look. Which I found to be a very appealing shape. But soon ballooned into a whole big illustration! Complete with handsy hand monster =w=

Also ended up starting to use textures due to the recommendation of an artist friend of mine. Due to it helping with filling in the flat blank space that digital art has. And I'm very much in love with it~

Thick Simple Style Practice

 

Have forgotten to update this blog with the draws from October =w=;. Finally getting back to it. Asked an artist friend of mine for help on how to get better at drawing. 

They said to draw using thick lines and with less detail. Basically the opposite of how I usually draw to challenge myself. Funny thing is they've done this before but they've always advised to draw with thinner lines, more details, and to brush up on anatomy.

But anyways here we have a paper mario and superman.
